Help! Jehuba Is Casting Doubts In My Mind!

remember when we were "in"?

we were told that if we have doubts regarding the bible and regarding the wt, it is satan that is casting doubts in our mind?.

i have been out for 4 months now.

I never had any serious doubts after I realized God (most probably) doesn't exists, Jehovah surely doesn't exist, and the Bible is just like any other collection of myth and folklore mixed with some real history.

But just to be sure, when I first became an atheist I prayed a couple of times to Jdub. Not because I doubted my conclusions, but because I wanted to offer Jdub the benefit of the doubt anyway. Well surprise: no answer of any kind....

By the way why would an all-powerful God need random events and newspapers to make someone doubt. He can easily make someone know beyond any doubt, right?

Ps: I'm wondering why gay marriage etc trigger this for you, and not for example the 'persecution' in Russia, the earthquakes and storms, or the Korea-USA standoff?

I'm starting a Counter-Watchtower magazine

im starting a counter-watchtower magazine for everyone to give to their jw friends and family or just to give to those that come to your door.

the first issue is about the history of pyramidology of c.t.

russel and under the start of rutherford along with some other things like pointing out the fact that no one knows the translators of the nwt or writers of the watchtower, "the two very things relied on to teach you".. its writen in such a way to be very repectful but to make the reader think, and hopefully the light come on.

That's a good question, and I don't recall Witnesses having a good reply to it.

The internal reply is

"My magazine contains the Truth and your magazine contains Satan's lies. Therefore you should read mine, but I can't take yours"

Some JW actually say something along those lines when offered literature. Most realize this is quite disrespectful to say out loud and likely angers the other person, so they mumble something else embarrassedly.

i remember once in berlin south germany there was a local needs part for the men only, and how they should use the toilet.

in all seriousness for ten minutes a retarded nigerian was going on about how men need to sit down when using the toilet.

no mention of anything else.. it transpired that some little kraut boy from an "interested" family would aim for the side of the toilet and leave a great big puddle for others to clean up.

i agree with garfield, but mayo comes in a close second.

slathering my pasta with an inch of best foods real mayonnaise (hellman's, east of the rockies) is close to heaven for me.

I used to religiously reject McDonald's. I even turned down free McD food.

Until I went on a trip to Paris with 2 (jw) friends and all we could afford, locate and enjoy for lunch and dinner was McD. Ever since I've been hooked, even when I realize it's actually garbage ;-D

unfortunately, the watchtower continues to try and argue that so called "mature minors" (11-17 years old) should be allowed to follow their irrational policy on blood, even if death could result.

I praise that judge. In some years or decades that girl will realize he saved her life. Or she'll live to be mad at him.

If Jehovah exists and JW are true, the judge (unfortunately) helped the girl to spread The Truth.

If JW are not true, that judge may have saved a life.

In any case the judge was right and the girl won.

What's Happening in Italy? Bethel Relocating Departments to Bologna?

according to some websites, it appears there's going to be a transferral of several departments out of rome and to imola (bologna) in november, along with the sale of some property in the capital.. are they downsizing?

During my first visit to Rome I tried to visit Bethel at Via della Buffalotta*. Couldn't find it. Will never forget that street name though. Neither will my friend Gorby apparently :-)

We did manage to locate the Vatican, but didn't visit their museum as that would violate our conscience. Whatever.

And we chatted up an inactive American exjw (Jesus the world is small innit). I hope he didn't return to the cult because of us.

But otherwise, I have no info on Italy branch...
